Menthol is a white crystal with a special mint aroma. Menthol is very soluble in organic solvents, but poorly soluble in water. The melting points of natural menthol and synthetic menthol are different, generally between 34 and 44°C. The boiling point of menthol is about 215°C, and the density of menthol is about 0.9g/cm³ (under specific conditions).
