Applacation
Thickening effect: By significantly increasing the viscosity of the drilling fluid, the drilling fluid is given excellent suspension properties, so that solid particles such as drill cuttings are stably suspended in the system, thereby preventing the risk of stuck drill due to sedimentation. It can also improve the sand carrying efficiency of the fracturing fluid and promote the uniform distribution of the proppant in the cracks.
Filtration control: By adjusting the filtration rate, a low-permeability dense filter cake is formed on the surface of the wellbore, preventing the drilling fluid from penetrating into the formation, thereby reducing formation damage and maintaining formation stability.
Lubrication effect: Improve the rheological properties of the drilling fluid, reduce the friction resistance between the drilling fluid and the drill pipe/wellbore, reduce the wear of the drill tool, significantly improve the drilling efficiency, and extend the service life of the drilling equipment.
Well wall stability: By inhibiting the hydration expansion of clay minerals such as shale, the mechanical stability of the well wall is enhanced, especially when drilling into easily collapsed formations, it can effectively prevent the occurrence of well wall collapse accidents.
