Lithopone 28-30 is produced by ZnSO4 and BaS, has good hiding power, excellent heat resistance. In daily application, it is considered as the best replacement of titanium dioxide. It is use to colourate for rubber products , linoleum, leather, paper, enamel.
The characteristics of Lide powder include:
Insoluble in water: It is easy to decompose and release hydrogen sulfide gas when it encounters acid, and does not react with hydrogen sulfide and alkaline solutions.
Good heat resistance and weather resistance: It may change color under sunlight, but can restore its original color in the dark.
Easily oxidized: It is easily oxidized in the air and easily clumps and deteriorates in a humid environment.
Strong covering power: When it contains more zinc sulfide, the covering power is stronger and the quality is higher.
