Tert-Butanol is an important intermediate of insecticides such as thiazinone, hydrazine and tebufenozide, acaricide pyridaben and herbicide sec-butyrin. Sodium tert-butanol, as an important sodium alcohol application in pesticide industry, is mainly used in pyrethroid cyclization reaction.
