3. A fast - drying solvent of nitrocellulose and cellulose acetate, used in paints ,coatings, artificial leather and perfume and as an extractant of oil and fat. It is also used to make dyes and drugs.
4. Used as a standard substance and solvent for chromatographic analysis, and also used in the synthesis of lithium chloride and perfume separated from alkali metal chloride
5. Organic solvents (nitrocellulose, oils, resins and paints).
