Sodium bisulfate CAS No.: 7681-38-1, soluble in water, insoluble in liquid ammonia. Also known as acid sodium sulfate, it is an inorganic compound with the chemical formula NaHSO4. It appears as white monoclinic crystals, is hygroscopic, and its aqueous solution is acidic. The pH of 0.1 mol/L sodium bisulfate solution is about 1.4.

Product Features
Colorless, deliquescent crystals. When heated, it loses its crystal water and becomes anhydrous. When heated to about 315°C, it dissolves in aqueous solution and is strongly acidic. It is corrosive and can cause burns. It is irritating to the respiratory system.
Product Applications
It is used as a pH reducer for swimming pools, to reduce the alkalinity of swimming pool water, a flux and disinfectant, and is used to make sulfates and sodium alum, etc. It is used to make toilet cleaners, deodorants, disinfectants, and can also be used as a flux for mineral decomposition, an auxiliary dye for acid dyes, and to make sulfates and sodium vanadium.
