Nonylphenol Ethoxylate (NP-4 / NP-6 / NP-10)
Nonylphenol Ethoxylate (NPE / NP series) is non-ionic surfactant, produced by ethoxylation of nonylphenol. The number after NP stands for EO (ethylene oxide) mole count. Higher EO value brings better water-solubility.
Appearance @25℃:
NP-4, NP-6: Pale yellow oily liquid, oil-soluble, dispersible in water
NP-10: Pale yellow viscous liquid, freely soluble in water
Key Features:
Good emulsifying, wetting, dispersing & detergency performance. Resistant to acid, alkali and hard water. Compatible with anionic & other non-ionic surfactants.
Typical Applications:
NP-4: W/O emulsifier, for mineral oil, pesticide, textile oil agent
NP-6: Emulsifier for metal cleaning, coating & agro-chemicals
NP-10: Most popular grade for industrial cleaner, textile printing-dyeing, leather degreasing, pesticide emulsifier, emulsion polymerization auxiliary
Packing: 200kg metal drum or 1000L IBC tote tank.
Note: Restricted under EU REACH regulation; widely used in Africa, Middle East & South America markets.
