1. Applications in Drilling Fluids

Salt Resistance Advantage:In salt-containing formations or seawater-based drilling fluids, HPMC exhibits superior structural stability compared to ordinary cellulose ethers, ensuring consistent performance under complex geological conditions.

2. Applications in Fracturing Fluids & Acidizing Fluids

Viscosity Thickening for Proppant Carrying:In hydraulic fracturing, HPMC acts as a thickener to increase fracturing fluid viscosity, enhancing proppant carrying capacity and promoting uniform proppant distribution in fractures, thus improving reservoir permeability.

Gel Stability & Corrosion Inhibition in Acidizing Fluids:Adding HPMC to acidizing fluids delays acid-rock reaction rates, extends acidizing duration, reduces wellbore corrosion, and enhances acidizing efficiency.

3. Modification of Oil-Gas Well Cement Slurries
