Products Features
Copper sulfate aqueous solution is blue. Due to hydrolysis, the solution is weakly acidic. Copper sulfate is easily soluble in water. The solubility in water at 25°C is 23.05g. It is insoluble in ethanol and ether. The melting point of anhydrous copper sulfate is 200°C. The relative density of anhydrous copper sulfate is 2.28 g/cm³.
Products Applications
1. Agricultural grade:Preparation of Bordeaux mixture, a long-standing fungicide widely used in vineyards and orchards to protect against downy mildew and other fungal diseases.
2. Feed Grade: as a source of trace element copper, copper sulfate is added to animal feed to help improve the growth rate and overall health of livestock.
3. Water treatment: the addition of copper sulfate can effectively inhibit the growth of algae, reduce the content of bacteria and viruses in the water, and improve the cleanliness and safety of the water.
4. Chemical testing machine: In the production of chemical preparations, copper sulfate is an important raw material for the preparation of other copper compounds and as a catalyst.
5. Electroplating industry: Copper sulfate is used as a copper source in the electrolyte for the deposition of copper plating, which plays an important role in the manufacture of circuit boards, decorations, and the anti-corrosion and beautification of automobile and aviation parts.
6. Industrial grade: Copper sulfate is also used in the manufacture of dyes and pigments, providing bright blue for textiles and artistic creations. The dye industry is used as a copper complexing agent for the production of copper-containing monoazo dyes such as reactive brilliant blue, reactive violet, and phthalocyanine blue.
7. Medicine and biology: Copper sulfate is also involved in the regulation of the activity of certain enzymes and micronutrients, and is used in cell culture media to promote cell growth and reproduction.
8.Wood protection: Soaking wood in a solution containing copper sulfate can effectively prevent wood from rotting and insect pests, and extend the service life of the wood.
