Instant and slow-soluble
Trichloroisocyanuric acid is commonly available in two forms: instant tablets (2g) and slow-dissolving tablets (200g). Instant tablets are small, dissolve quickly (about 10 minutes), and can be added directly to water.
Slow-dissolving tablets, however, take much longer to dissolve-20g tablets require around 3 days, while 200g tablets take about 7 days.
Directly adding slow-dissolving tablets to water can harm water quality, so they are typically used with a dosing device to ensure gradual and controlled release for optimal effectiveness.
Application
It serves as a fungicide for applications such as industrial water treatment, swimming pool maintenance, hospital sanitation, and tableware disinfection.
