Products Description
Sodium bicarbonate is an inorganic compound, presenting as a white powder or fine crystals. It has no odor and a salty taste. It is highly soluble in water and its aqueous solution is slightly alkaline. It decomposes easily upon heating and slowly decomposes in the humid air, generating carbon dioxide. It begins to decompose at approximately 50°C and completely decomposes when heated to 270°C. It undergoes intense decomposition upon contact with acids, producing carbon dioxide. Sodium bicarbonate is widely used in industries such as chemical engineering, medicine, food, light industry, and textiles.
